A Relational, Psychodynamic Approach
Psychodynamic–relational therapy focuses on the inner world—feelings, memories, defenses, and unconscious patterns—as they emerge in present-day life and in the therapeutic relationship itself. Over time, this process helps uncover deeply rooted beliefs and emotional habits that no longer serve you.
The therapeutic relationship is central to the work. Together, we pay attention to what unfolds between us with curiosity and respect, using those moments to foster insight, emotional growth, and greater freedom in relationships beyond therapy.
This is not a quick-fix model. It is a thoughtful, collaborative process that supports enduring change and a deeper sense of self.
Experience That Matters
Four decades of practice have taught me that healing is rarely linear and never one-size-fits-all. I bring patience, perspective, and a steady presence to the work—qualities that many mature clients find especially grounding.
Clients often seek therapy with me during periods of transition or reflection, including:
Life stage changes and aging
Relationship struggles or loss
Identity questions
Long-standing anxiety or depression
A desire for greater authenticity and emotional depth
LGBTQ-Affirming and Inclusive Care
I am committed to providing an affirming, respectful space for LGBTQ+ clients. Sexual orientation, gender identity, and relationship diversity are welcomed and understood as integral parts of the whole person—not issues to be explained or defended.
Whether you are exploring identity, navigating relationships, or simply seeking a therapist who understands your lived experience, you are welcome here.
